This little sketch is the beginning of my involvement in the Route 89 blog. I'm Barbara Cowlin, the wife. If you're curious, read the July 2008 issue of the US Route 89 Appreciation Society email newsletter, Along 89, and find out all about me.

We're about to take a trip to Utah, and my job is to be the quirky one. I'll be looking for the best rest rooms, the best ice cream and all kinds of other bests. I got a great new 72 color Prismacolor pencil set and a bunch of sketchbooks, so I'll also be documenting the trip with drawings and other creative (I hope) items. Stay posted!
